Amielle Lake · CEO

Prior to founding Tagga, Amielle held a range of executive marketing and corporate development roles across the software, financial services and mining market sectors. She currently sits on the boards for MMA Canada, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, NextMedia, and Kids Up Front. Amielle also holds an MBA, a B.A., and is a published author. Her book, The Elephant Hunters, is about how social interactions determine outcomes in the financial world. Outside of the office, she is an aspiring cyclist, competitive swimmer, and dedicated to the culinary arts.

 

Parker Whittle · CTO

Parker Whittle has over 20 years experience designing and delivering advanced enterprise software for a diverse collection of industries. He has designed and led production on a range of exciting products, from the first commercial three-tiered enterprise application for healthcare to the distributed component-based technology that operates the Experience Music Project in Seattle, WA and large format video displays at MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Through the late 2000s he lead software development teams for aQuantive and Microsoft on their Search Engine Management and Rich Media advertising products, before bringing his expertise to the Tagga executive team in 2010. In his off hours Parker can be found aboard Merci, his trusty ocean-going sailboat.

 

 

Greg Smith · Director

Greg is an entrepreneur first and a finance guy second. He bootstrapped his first software company at the age of 24 and sold it 7 years later in March 2000. After spending two years in a VP-Product Marketing role, he joined BDC Capital as part of their Technology Seed Investment group—a $100M early stage venture fund. At BDC, Greg led or co-led investments in numerous companies, each at varying stages of conception. He was a Director on the boards of SiM Composites, Mobidia Technologies Inc, Adnavance Technologies, and General Fusion. He is currently on the Board of Tagga Media and acts as an advisor to numerous technology companies. Greg holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.

 

Scott Lipsky · Advisor

Scott is a seasoned entrepreneur and angel investor. Amidst Scott’s many achievements include co-founding Avenue A | Razorfish (aQuantive) where he served as its Chief Technology Officer. aQuantive rapidly became the world’s leading digital marketing technology and services company, helping advertisers and ad agencies intelligently build, market and grow their online and bricks & mortar businesses and brands. The company was sold to Microsoft in 2007 for $6 billion (the highest amount ever paid by Microsoft for any acquisition). Scott was responsible for the architecture, development and operation of aQuantive’s extensive proprietary technology platform – as well as for building aQuantive’s R&D lab, which focused on mobile, interactive TV and other emerging digital content & advertising platforms. Scott also played an active role in the company’s IPO in February 2000.

 

Gary Roshak · Advisor

Gary Roshak is a wireless industry pioneer and brings more than 20 years of experience in mobile, digital media, and interactive advertising experience to Tagga. Gary was most recently Vice President, Mobile Advertisers and Publishers, for Yahoo! Inc., where he had global responsibility for the company’s mobile advertising and publishing strategy, products and business. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager at Marchex, where he was responsible for Marchex’s local advertising business, connecting tens of thousands of local advertisers to consumers as a leading search and call-based marketing platform provider for large local advertiser aggregators.
