Newly Published Campaigns Results Show Success Connecting with Consumer Via Cross-Channel Campaigns

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – January 14, 2012

As a sponsor of the Fall 2012 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Lindt & Sprüngli (Canada) Ltd sought to raise brand awareness for the Lindor brand and increasing foot traffic to Lindt retail outlets. Lindt leveraged its sponsorship opportunity with TIFF by incorporating a cross-channel campaign, powered by Tagga.

The campaign captured the attention of TIFF audiences over multiple platforms (online, Facebook or offline via mobile) by engaging them in a contest, followed by sharing content about the festival and promotions for Lindt retail outlets. During the 11 days of the festival, the Tagga-powered campaign garnered over 6,000 contest entries – netting the company a swift 15% increase in its CRM database. Over 2,000 prizes and 4,000 coupons were delivered via mobile to engaged consumers.

Lindt & Sprüngli is recognized as a leader in the market for premium quality chocolate, offering a large selection of products in more than 100 countries around the world. During more than 160 years of Lindt & Sprüngli’s existence, it has become known as one of the most innovative and creative companies making premium chocolate.

“We are very happy with the results Tagga helped us to achieve,” said Oliver Woodburn, Marketing Director at Lindt. “The team at Tagga has been great to work with,” he added, “and always has a ‘can-do’ attitude.”

Tagga’s unique and proprietary cross-channel campaigning software integrates social, web and mobile technologies to connect brands to consumers 24/7. The ability to reach consumers whenever and wherever they are provides Tagga’ partners, like Lindt & Sprüngli, the competitive advantage of an always-on channel of communication with customers, as well as meaningful consumer insights and unbeatable ROI.

Tagga Launches Mobile Advertising Offering via Strategic Partnership with airG

Sep10

September 10, 2012 – Tagga is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Global social & mobile advertising company, airG.

Tagga and airG have agreed to leverage the strength of each other’s products as well as partner on mutually beneficial marketing initiatives.  Specifically, Tagga will be reselling airG’s rich mobile social advertising inventory and airG will resell Tagga’s cross-channel campaign software and services.

“We are excited about launching this partnership”, said Amielle Lake, CMO & Founder, “it allows us to offer a global advertising product to our growing client base”. She added, “With mobile advertising, we can dramatically extend the reach of any campaign and demonstrate even better engagement rates. airG’s targeting capabilities are first class in the industry.”

The two companies have recently been touring the west coast of the United States offering seminars on the value of cross-channel marketing and mobile social advertising to brands and agencies (see recent blog post).  Additionally, last winter, the companies collaborated on Red Bull’s Quebec Crashed Ice Event. (See coverage by Mobile Marketer.com)

“We are thrilled to be partnering with another great technology company that truly believes in delivering media efficiencies for brands and agencies”, said Omar Kaywan, Director of Mobile Advertising at airG. He continued, “By combining our expertise in mobile social media and our unique targeting capabilities with Tagga’s cross-channel campaign platform, we are delivering a unique value proposition for some of the world’s leading brands.”

airG delivers more than 30 million brand messages a day via banners, video pre-roll, SMS, product placement, contests, gifts, etc.  airG users are extremely engaged, spending more than 77 minutes a day communicating, interacting and playing social games on airG with their friends. According to a recent survey of more than 30,000 members of the airG community, 26 percent have engaged with a video or rich media ad.  Videos were the format most likely to spur engagement, as over 70 percent of the members who engage with video ads watch up to 30 seconds of the video on their mobile phones.

“airG is not only a mobile social network that has reached over 70 million unique mobile users since its inception, but also a force in the mobile advertising sector, helping brands connect to their core target market via the medium consumers rely on most – their mobile phones,” said Dejan Mirkovic Vice President, Corporate Development, airG. “ We are happy to partner with Tagga to offer a holistic solution to brands and agencies across the globe.”

airG Targeting also offers over 14 different targeting parameters that enable advertisers to effectively reach niche audiences on their mobile devices. Using airG’s Targeting, advertisers have experienced between three and five times increase on click-through rates compared to prior advertisement experience on other networks.

Tagga’s CEO, Jean-Guy Faubert, highlighted that, “analysts are touting that mobile advertising spend will grow another 62% in 2013 and eclipse the $6 billion revenue mark”. He continued, “While that is still a far cry from what brands are willing to spend online, mobile advertising is increasingly being recognized as a powerful medium to reach and connect with consumers. We are really looking forward to offering this to our clients. Tagga is assembling a rich ecosystem of partners, agencies, and software vendors in order to deliver a one stop experience and deliver tremendous value to brands.”

Tagga’s cross-channel campaign platform allows advertisers to compare the results of mobile advertising with other campaigns simultaneously being run across diverse media channels such as in-store, on television or a Facebook desktop page.

Tagga’s software and services are used by ad agencies and brands across the globe in order to launch and optimize cross-channel marketing campaigns.
Tagga was added to the finalist list for Deloitte & Touche’s Top 100 Emerging Companies in Canada in 2011, The Ready to Rocket 2012 List, and the Top 100 Red Herring North American List for 2011. Partners with Tagga to drive cross-channel marketing initiatives nationwide

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, June 4 2012

Tagga Media is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sunwing Vacations, a family-owned and managed integrated leisure tour operator and a leader in discount travel for the Canadian marketplace. Sunwing, which has become one of Canada’s fastest growing and most successful travel companies since it began operation in 2002, offers Canadian consumers accommodations and value-added holiday packages to popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, USA, and Europe. Vacation packages include flights aboard the “high frills” Sunwing Airlines, Canada’s premier leisure, full service airline that offers an award winning Champagne Service at a low cost.

Sunwing will purchase the Tagga campaign platform to develop and deploy mobile marketing efforts so that they are truly cross-channel, leveraging the company’s traditional, digital, and social media marketing channels.

“We understand the power of providing our target audience with a mobile experience,” said Paul Kraemer, Director of Digital Marketing. “By integrating mobile connectivity into our marketing, our target audience can engage with Sunwing and receive and share valuable information whenever they want, with whomever they want. This is what consumers want: context and convenience,” Kraemer added.

As an example, Sunwing currently operates two loyalty programs, primarily on SMS. Anyone can opt-in to these programs by texting “Prize” or “Fly” to 223344. Standard message rates apply.

With Tagga, Sunwing is planning on enhancing both its mobile marketing tactics (e.g.: SMS, QR codes, mobile sites and mobile display advertising) as well as tightly integrating these features with both their social media outreach and the company’s numerous marketing vehicles.

“We are very pleased to add Sunwing to our client roster,” said Jean-Guy Faubert, CEO of Tagga Media Inc. “They are a top-notch Canadian brand and are very innovative thinkers when it comes to marketing. They are a “consumer-first” brand, meaning they really design their marketing initiatives around understanding the consumer experience. Mobile, social and marketing automation are essential tools to execute on that theme. We are glad they have chosen our platform to support that.”

Tagga’s campaign management solutions are used by ad agencies and brands across North America, to better optimize and measure their cross-channel marketing initiatives and spend.

Tagga was added to the finalist list for Deloitte & Touche’s Top 100 Emerging Companies of Canada in 2011, The Ready to Rocket 2012 List, and the Top 100 Red Herring North American List for 2011. Tagga recently added Olivier Vincent, former CEO and founder of Canpages and Penny Wilson, former CMO of Macromedia, to its Board of Directors.

Tagga appoints Jean-Guy Faubert, proven sales leader and business builder as Chief Executive Officer

May02

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, May 2, 2012

Tagga is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran software executive, Mr. Jean-Guy Faubert as Tagga’s Chief Executive Officer. Amielle Lake, Founder and original CEO will move into the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

“I am both thrilled and honored to have Jean-Guy join our team.” Amielle said. She added, “I believe he has exactly what Tagga needs: experience in scaling sales, superb customer relationship development skills and a proven background of leading fast-growing companies. I look forward to working with Jean-Guy and building the best company we can.”

For Jean-Guy, mobile is ripe with opportunity. According to Mr. Faubert, “Mobile Commerce is about the explosion of applications and services that are now accessible from Internet-enabled mobile devices.” He continued, “Tagga was one of the first to market with a cloud-based solution that empowers the marketer to connect with consumers across the entire media mix and enable them to buy, share, refer and play with brands whenever they like, wherever they are.”

Recently, Gartner announced a powerful prediction further reinforcing Tagga’s vision. It is as follows, “By 2017, CMO’s will spend more on technology than CIOs will on enterprise technology.”

Jean-Guy, a serial entrepreneur four times over, brings over 24 years of experience to Tagga. Most recently, as an early founder at Make Technologies, Mr. Faubert was the Executive VP of Global Alliances, which was recently acquired by Dell (see article here). During his tenure, Make sales nearly tripled year over year. As a result, Make was named to the Deloitte Technology Top 500, recognizing North America’s Fastest Growing high tech companies. Prior to joining Make Technologies, he worked at Burntsand Inc. in New York, building & managing multi-million dollar accounts including Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Chase. Jean-Guy is credited with being instrumental in Burnstand’s explosive growth, which later sold to Open Text. Specifically, Mr. Faubert drove sales to $ 25M with a 38% EBITDA in 3 years. This encompassed the addition of four business lines, acquiring a US Web Content Management company and over 125 people.

Jean-Guy sees the mobile world as a consumer centric one where Tagga plays a substantial role in connecting brands with this market shift. “Smart Phones are quickly becoming Personal Assistants for the savvy consumer – giving them remote access to transact directly with brands as they choose.”

Mr. Faubert concluded, “Tagga’s solution enables marketers to take advantage of a dramatic shift in consumer behavior. Tagga believes in a future where consumers will make instant purchase decisions based on their profile, their ability to engage with a brand on their mobile device, and how they interact with their social network.”

Gary Tauss, Chairman of the Tagga Board, had this to add, “After an in-depth search and rigorous review process, we were pleased to conclude with the appointment of Jean-Guy. We believe he has the tools Tagga needs to help us launch into the next stage of growth.”

Tagga’s campaign management solutions are used by ad agencies and brands across North America to better optimize and measure their multi-channel marketing efforts.

Tagga was added to the finalist list for Deloitte & Touche’s Top 100 Emerging Companies in Canada in 2011, The Ready to Rocket 2012 List, and the Top 100 Red Herring North American List for 2011. Tagga recently added Olivier Vincent, former CEO and founder of Canpages and Penny Wilson, former CMO of Macromedia to its Board of Directors.
